Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) has completed 25 years of operations in the country. To celebrate this milestone, the company has unveiled two new commuter motorcycles – the Honda CB125 Hornet and the Honda Shine 100 DX. Both models will be available for booking starting August 1, 2025, with deliveries to follow shortly after.
Among the two, the Shine 100 DX builds upon the success of the Shine 100, which has already sold over 3 lakh units in just 12 months. The DX variant brings a fresh identity to the Shine lineup, offering updated styling and new features while retaining its value-for-money positioning.

What’s New in the Honda Shine 100 DX?
The Shine 100 DX has been designed to offer a more premium commuter appeal, with a number of cosmetic upgrades and added features:
- New headlamp design with chrome accents
- Matte-finished grab rail and all-black engine casing
- Chrome-finished muffler cover
- Sculpted bodywork around a wider fuel tank with bold Honda badging
- Refreshed body graphics for a more stylish look
- Long seat for added rider and pillion comfort
One of the biggest highlights is the new digital LCD instrument cluster, which displays:

- Estimated range (Distance to Empty)
- Service due reminder
The Shine 100 DX also includes a side-stand engine cut-off system to enhance rider safety.
