The iconic Kinetic DX, a well-known petrol scooter from the 1990s, is making a comeback, now as an electric scooter. The updated version is developed by Kinetic Watts and Volts, the electric mobility arm of the Firodia-led Kinetic Engineering Group.
The company has launched two variants:
- Kinetic DX – ₹1,11,499 (ex-showroom)
- Kinetic DX+ – ₹1,17,499 (ex-showroom)
Both models are manufactured at Kinetic’s facility in Ahmednagar, Maharashtra.

Booking and Availability
- Initial launch is limited to Pune
- Deliveries will begin in September 2025
- Online bookings are open with a token amount of just ₹1,000
- Kinetic has set a booking cap of 35,000 units for the first phase

Despite its nostalgic name, the new DX is modern and utility-focused:
